In an administrative lawsuit filed by Hwimoon High School against the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's audit of the operation of the sports department, the court suspended the effect of some sanctions.

The Seoul Administrative Court cited some of the applications by the Hwimungo Foundation, a school corporation, to suspend the execution of the cancellation lawsuit, including a request for disposition as a result of an audit filed against the superintendent of the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

The court suspended the effect of the sanctions, including a one-year restriction on the transfer of special athletes to basketball and the exclusion of the allocation of full-time basketball coaches for the 2025 school year.

The court explained that the effect of the disposition will be suspended from the date of the first trial's sentence to the 30th to prevent hard-to-recover damages.

However, we did not accept Hyun Joo-yup, the head coach of the basketball department,'s disciplinary action against faculty members, including a salary cut, and the request for suspension of execution of institutional warnings issued to Hwimungo.

Earlier this year, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education launched a formal audit of Hwimungo after receiving a petition to the effect that Hyun did not properly work as the head coach of the basketball department.

Since then, in July, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education has asked Hwimungo to impose a "salary" on director Hyun, saying it was confirmed that he left his workplace without permission for broadcasting and other reasons.
