The Seoul Southern District Court today (31st) sentenced a man in his 40s, identified only by his surname Lim, to 30 years in prison and ordered him to attach a location-tracking electronic device for 10 years.

is accused of wielding a weapon and killing a neighbor in her 50s who spread laundry on the rooftop at a villa in Gangseo-gu around 9:30 a.m. on June 2.Mr. Lim
planned the crime, saying he would retaliate for the noise between floors of the house below, but according to statements from his parents and residents of the same villa who lived in the same house as Mr. Lim, there was no noise problem between floors.Mr. Lim
visited the victim's house two weeks before the crime, but failed to commit the crime because there was no answer, but found the victim on the rooftop on the day of the incident and committed the crime.
