President Yoon said North Korea's ICBM launch "prepared for every opportunity..."Strict Measures"

President Yoon Suk Yeol responded strongly with the international community to North Korea's long-range ballistic missile launch and ordered North Korea to be thoroughly prepared to prevent any surprise provocation.

The presidential office held an emergency NSC standing committee presided over by Shin Won-sik yesterday (31st) and immediately reported to President Yoon about North Korea's ICBM launch.President

Yoon said yesterday morning that strong national security is essential to keep our economy growing and that we will take the necessary measures seriously.

He then criticized North Korea for secretly sending mercenaries to Russia in the background and aiming directly at our security in the future.

The NSC members decided to designate new independent sanctions against North Korea in response to North Korea's provocations and to work closely with allies and the United Nations to ensure that international sanctions against North Korea are strongly implemented.
