The National Assembly Steering Committee held a plenary session yesterday (31st) and voted on 30 agendas, including amendments to the National Assembly rules.
However, only opposition lawmakers, including the Democratic Party of Korea, participated in the resolution, and the people's power left against the process, asking if they would enforce content full of unconstitutional elements.
The revision of the rule includes excluding two members of the ruling party's recommendation if the president and his or her family are subject to investigation when forming the seven standing special prosecutor candidate recommendation committee.
The opposition party, including the Democratic Party, plans to deal with the revision of the rules at the plenary session of the National Assembly on the 14th, and then begin the so-called "permanent special prosecutor for First Lady Kim Gun-hee."
