U.S. President Joe Biden said the jobs data at the "employment shock" level was just the aftermath of hurricanes and some corporate strikes, and expected a rebound this month.

President Biden issued a statement after the release of the employment data, saying job growth is expected to rebound in November as hurricane-damaged recovery and rebuilding efforts continue.

He also stressed that the U.S. economy remains strong, adding that 16 million jobs have been created since he took office and that the average unemployment rate has been lower than any other administration in the past 50 years.
