Russia and North Korea held foreign ministers' talks and reaffirmed their close cooperation, with full-fledged deployment of North Korean troops to the war in Ukraine imminent.

Labrov also announced that the 11th Intergovernmental Trade and Science and Technology Cooperation Committee will be held in Pyongyang, North Korea, this month.

Before the meeting, Lavrov and Choi visited Moscow's Yaroslavsky railway station to attend a plaque unveiling ceremony commemorating Kim Il-sung's 1949 visit to the Soviet Union.

Foreign Minister Choi left Pyongyang on the 28th of last month, passed through Vladivostok in the Russian Far East, and arrived in Moscow on the 30th.
