The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission recommends that "university dormitories be improved into independent living spaces."

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission said it has recommended to the Ministry of Education and others a plan to change the multi-person room of university dormitories into a shared residential environment with independent living spaces.

Currently, 43% of the dormitories and living halls of universities have been completed for more than 20 years and maintain the traditional multi-room form, so college students who prefer independent living spaces are reluctant.

As a result, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission has decided to establish the ratio of multi-room independent living spaces and efforts to improve the residential environment of old dormitories as indicator items in the university evaluation and certification criteria.

In addition, when rebuilding an old lecture building or research building, it was suggested to find a way to build a complex dormitory or use the surrounding studio and villa as a dormitory.
