Seoul Immigration Office implements civil complaint innovation plan for new immigration policy

The Seoul Immigration Office announced today (4th) that it will start a "civil petition innovation plan" to implement a new immigration policy to prepare for the era of 3 million foreigners staying.

The main content of the civil complaint innovation plan is the establishment of a "civil complaint office" that handles work on the day of receipt, and the expansion of the application window and target for excellent talent flowing into the new immigration policy.

The Seoul Immigration Office also explained that it plans to dramatically improve the convenience of civil complaints by deploying civil complaint counseling experts and rearranging the reception counters to prevent civil complaint information errors.

In addition, officials from the Foreign Office said that they will soon come up with measures to unify the standards for the period of permission to stay and increase work uniformity and predictability of civil petitioners, and resolve civil complaints such as intensive resolution of international students' work at a specific time.

Ban Jae-yeol, head of the Seoul Immigration Office, stressed that the innovation plan is the beginning of a measure to support the promotion of a new immigration policy, and that we will continue to do our best to develop policies that allow civil petitioners to feel the change.
