However, if the parties show a serious willingness to negotiate, they will resume mediation efforts.
Israel, the party involved, continued its airstrikes, saying it would wipe out Hamas and Hezbollah.

In the meantime, Qatar, which has been mediating with the U.S. and Egypt in negotiations for a cease-fire in the Gaza war, said it has suspended its role as a mediator.
However, both Israel and Hamas, the parties involved, said they would resume mediation if they showed a serious willingness to negotiate, but denied media reports that they would quit at all.
Qatar also pointed out that reports of calls for the withdrawal of Hamas' political office in the capital Doha were also untrue.
"The main purpose of Qatar's office is a communication window between the parties, which contributed to achieving a temporary ceasefire at the previous stage," he explained.
Earlier, CNN and others said Qatar agreed to expel Hamas from Qatar at the request of the United States, an attempt to pressure Hamas leaders in Doha to reach a deal.
