The ruling and opposition parties agreed to deal with more than 70 bills on people's livelihoods, such as the Loan Business Act and the Depositor Protection Act, at the regular session of the National Assembly.

Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the policy committee of the People's Power, and Jin Sung-joon of the Democratic Party of Korea, and the deputy floor leader of the ruling and opposition parties met at the National Assembly to exchange and organize a list of bills that can be discussed.

Chairman Kim told reporters after the meeting that he proposed the National Key Power Network Expansion Act, the Military Civil Service Accident Compensation Act, and the Crisis Youth Support Act to the Democratic Party, and explained that some acceptable bills included the Special Act on Strengthening Competitiveness in the Semiconductor Industry and the AI Act.

Jin said he agreed to deal with bills such as the Loan Business Act, the Depositor Protection Act and the Building Act now, adding that he will also negotiate the Child Care Support Act, the Financial Assistance Act for the Common People, the Agricultural and Marine Disaster Countermeasures Act and the Disaster Insurance Act.

The two-party policy committee chairman said there were more than 70 bills acceptable or partially acceptable to both parties, adding that he would further consider whether there would be further bills that could be discussed.
