On the 13th, the Jeju Provincial Police Agency announced that it will charge Moon with violating the Public Health Management Act and send him to the prosecution this week.
Earlier in September, when allegations of Moon's unreported illegal lodging business emerged, Jeju City asked the local police to investigate to confirm the facts.Until recently,
Moon was suspected of operating his own detached house in Hyeopjae-ri, Hallim-eup, Jeju-si as a lodging facility without reporting.
In addition, another officetel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was also suspected of operating as a lodging facility without reporting, and during the police investigation, a visitor believed to be a guest at the officetel was caught, which caused controversy.
The autonomous police said that Moon admitted all of his charges in an attendance investigation on the 11th, while keeping quiet about the detailed charges.
According to the Public Health Management Act, those who do not report and engage in accommodation business may face up to two years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won.
