Grossi met with Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi and Iran's Atomic Energy Commissioner Mohammad Eslami today (14th), respectively.
As the IAEA pointed out Iran's 60% increase in uranium enrichment and refusal to inspect nuclear facilities, Grossi is likely to have focused on conveying concerns and warnings to Iran and seeking diplomatic solutions to ease the nuclear crisis.
After the meeting, Arakchi said on his social media that he had important discussions with Grossi and that Iran was ready to negotiate in a way that would protect its national interests on the premise that it was not subject to external pressure.
Grossi's visit to Iran is the second this year and about a week after Trump's election as U.S. president.
