Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party, who was deprived of his right to run for election in the first trial for violating the Public Official Election Act, attended a rally to denounce the regime in downtown Seoul.
Lee said, "Lee Jae-myung and democracy never die."

Yes, the third outdoor rally hosted by the Democratic Party of Korea has been held in front of Gwanghwamun in Seoul since 4:30 p.m.
After Lee Jae-myung's remarks a while ago, a civic group solidarity rally will now continue.Standing in front of party members and supporters a day after the
sentence, Lee Jae-myung voiced his opinion that he would never die to create a democratic republic where the people are the owners, saying he has gone through a number of dark times since he began politics in 2004.
It sent a message to party members and supporters that they would go unshakable, but after a while, the city plans to march with minor opposition parties, including the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, and civic groups.
Today's rally was planned as the 3rd National Action Day, condemning the alleged manipulation of state affairs by President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife and calling for a special prosecution, but in fact, it became a place to denounce the conviction of representative Lee Jae-myung in the first trial yesterday.
Park Chan-dae, the floor leader, said it was a political judgment that served to remove political opponents from the prosecution's dictatorship, and that he was angry at the political judgment that deviated from the people's legal sentiment and common sense.
There were also calls for an independent counsel to investigate the alleged involvement of Kim Gun-hee and President Yoon Suk Yeol in the nomination, who handed over an envelope of money to Myung Tae-kyun.
Prior to the rally, the Democratic Party held an emergency joint meeting at the National Assembly with its lawmakers and regional chairmen from across the country, and yesterday defined the first trial's ruling as a "black history of justice" and decided to fight with Lee until the end.
Supreme Council member Kim Min-seok emphasized the historical significance of the fight against political prosecutors that followed the death of the late former President Roh Moo Hyun, and that the change of government, whether it is impeachment or constitutional amendment, should not be missed and take a restrained response.
He seems to have chosen a strategy to go head-to-head with Lee's "trial risk" by raising the intensity of the rental struggle, but the atmosphere of confusion is also seen within the Democratic Party.
CEO Lee must also be sentenced to the first trial on charges of perjury on the 25th.
