Ha Hyung-joo, the 'Guiding Hero,' Appoints Chairman of the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation

Ha Hyung-joo, a gold medalist in judo at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, was appointed as the chairman of the National Sports Promotion Foundation.

Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, delivered a letter of appointment to Ha Hyung-joo, the new chairman of the board, in the conference room of the Seoul Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul.

Chairman Ha Hyung-joo won the Olympic gold medal for the first time in Korean judo history in the men's 95kg or less judo class at the Los Angeles Olympics, and since retirement, he has been a professor of physical education at Dong-A University and a standing auditor of the National Sports Promotion Foundation.
