The National Human Rights Commission of Korea judged that the Seoul Transportation Corporation's failure to provide sufficient help that hearing-impaired A wanted during the interview constitutes discrimination.
In 2023, Mr. A filed a complaint, saying that he had no choice but to give up the interview after passing the Seoul Transportation Corporation's open recruitment test and providing convenience such as ghostwriting support for the interview.
The Seoul Metropolitan Transportation Corporation said it would provide adjustment of the gap between applicants and related pre-training for interviewers because it was difficult to provide ghostwriting support, but complained that Mr. A just did not attend the test.
