"The Seohae and Donghae lines are also experiencing delays."
260 out of 650 cars until 9 a.m., delayed by more than 10 minutes.
Starting today, the National Railroad Workers' Union's unemployment has begun, causing a series of delays on the subway operated by Korail.
It looks like there will be inconvenience on the way home from work, so I'll connect you with a reporter.
Reporter Hwang Hye-kyung, where is the disruption?
[Reporter]
Yes, the Korail Railway Union's law-abiding struggle and the so-called layoff have disrupted the operation of subway lines 1, 3, and 4 in the Seoul metropolitan area and Suin-Bundang Line.
In addition, delays are also occurring on the West Sea Line connecting Ilsan to Gimpo Airport, Sosa, and Wonjo, and the East Sea Line between Busan and Ulsan.
Therefore, passengers are expected to be uncomfortable on their way home from work this morning, following the frequent train operation.
However, KORAIL also does not know exactly which line and how much delay will occur.
According to the morning situation, 140 out of 650 trains in the Seoul metropolitan area were delayed by more than 10 minutes by 9 a.m., and 120 trains were delayed by more than 20 minutes, Korail said.
Since then, the delay has subsided, and after 11 o'clock, some trains on Line 1 and Gyeongui Central Line have been delayed for about 10 minutes, Korail said.
However, unlike trains, regular trains such as KTX and Saemaeul are all operating normally without a hitch, Korail said.

If the railroad union continues to leave work, there will be no choice but to continue to be inconvenient due to delays, so why do you leave work?
[Reporter]
The background revealed by the union is to increase insufficient manpower, improve working conditions, and raise wages.
The union said, "Despite Korail's severe shortage of manpower, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance is pushing for a reduction of 1,566 employees, and Korail is choosing to outsource dangerous work."
It is demanding the conversion of Group 4 to 2 shifts through recruitment of manpower and a 2.5% increase in the basic salary.
In addition, the union plans to hold an indefinite general strike early next month after a press conference announcing a general strike on the 21st if such matters are not carried out.
Korail's tally shows that the railway union has been working more than once a year for four years from 2019 to last year, a total of 170 days.
