The Gyeonggi Provincial Council will conduct an administrative audit of the governor's secretariat and assistants for the first time.

The Provincial Council Steering Committee will conduct an administrative audit of Governor Kim Dong-yeon's secretariat and assistant agencies tomorrow (20th) in accordance with the "Gyeonggi-do Council Committee Composition and Operation Ordinance" revised in June.

It is the second administrative audit of the secretary office of the head of the metropolitan government after the Seoul Metropolitan Government among 17 cities and provinces in the country, and the first administrative audit of an assistant agency in the country.

Lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties demanded data related to budgeting and execution status, implementation of provincial governor pledges, and business trips outside the provincial governor.

There were also requests for data related to specific projects, such as the provincial governor's report on the review of the cancellation of the K-Culture Valley Convention, which is being investigated by the provincial council, and the plan to create a Hwaseong International Theme Park tourism complex.

Yang Woo-sik, chairman of the steering committee of the People's Power, said, "We will thoroughly verify whether the governor's aide is for the presidential election or for the provincial residents."
