North Korea's Korean Central News Agency reported yesterday that Chairman Kim Jong-un visited the construction site of a local industrial plant in Seongcheon-gun, Pyongannam-do, and ordered the completion of 20 sites this year.

The news agency said Chairman Kim expressed satisfaction at the meeting that the legitimacy of the party's lines and policies to achieve rapid development nationwide this year, the first year of the "Local Development 20×10 Policy (20-10 Policy)."

In addition, Chairman Kim said at a plenary session next month that he should take responsibility for projects to accelerate the experience and development achievements achieved in the first year of local development policies, signaling that a plenary session of the Labor Party will be held at the end of this year.

The 20×10 Policy for Local Development' is a policy proposed by Chairman Kim at the Supreme People's Assembly in January this year and calls for building modern local industrial plants in 20 counties every year to develop the basic material and cultural living standards of the people of the country to the next level within 10 years.
