The Seoul Transportation Corporation, which operates Seoul Subway Lines 1 to 8, said yesterday (20th) that 125 out of 3,189 trains were delayed for more than 20 minutes, recording a 96% regular admission rate, when the first union entered a "rule struggle."

The 125 delayed trains are trains on lines 1, 3, and 4 jointly operated by the Korea Railroad Corporation, which previously began a compliance struggle, and the Seoul Transportation Corporation's trains, which were often delayed due to Korail train delays, according to construction officials.

However, he added that lines 2 and 5 to 8 operated exclusively by the Korea Transportation Corporation were never delayed for more than 5 minutes.

Earlier, the Seoul Transportation Corporation's labor union, the 1st union of the corporation, called for more manpower and the withdrawal of the introduction of the one-man crew system on Line 2, and announced that it would go on a general strike on the 6th of next month if negotiations break down.
