Photos provided by Ukrainian security sources show that the debris believed to be missile parts appeared in the shape of a disk or round rod and was mostly blackened.
The debris may not necessarily come from a single missile, the source added.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he had launched a new hypersonic intermediate-range missile into Ukraine that flies 10 times the speed of sound, arguing that there is currently no means anywhere in the world to counter such weapons.
