Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, said ahead of the first trial of his perjury teacher charge, "Wouldn't we judge according to the law and common sense?"

Lee met with reporters at the National Assembly and responded to the question of how he expected the results.

When asked to say something ahead of the sentence, he said he had nothing in particular to say, and declined to comment on other questions.
