Lee Jae-yong attends the final trial of the appellate court on suspicion of 'unfair merger'

Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong's appeal trial on charges of unfair merger and accounting fraud was held.

The Seoul High Court is conducting an appeal hearing for Chairman Lee, who is suspected of violating the Capital Markets Act, from 2 p.m. today (25th).

Chairman Lee, who attended the final hearing, headed to the court without answering questions from reporters asking about the progress of the appeals court and his position on the Samsung crisis theory.

Earlier, Chairman Lee said,
with the aim of succeeding management rights and strengthening control at a minimum cost during the merger process.He was indicted on charges of engaging in various fraudulent transactions, market price manipulation, and accounting fraud promoted by the
Future Strategy Office.

In February, the first trial court acquitted Lee of all 19 charges.
