Gyeonggi Province announced that it will implement the "fine dust seasonal management system" from next month to March next year.

will promote the reduction of fine dust through 20 implementation tasks in five areas, including health protection, industrial, transportation, public, information provision and cooperation, with an average concentration of 24㎍/㎥ of ultrafine dust (PM2.5) during this period.

In the case of the provincial residents' health protection field, we will conduct a special inspection on the proper operation of ventilation and purification facilities in multi-use facilities such as underground stations and public transportation-related facilities.

It will also strengthen activities to reduce fine dust generation around daily life, such as collecting agricultural waste, blocking illegal incineration, cleaning road re-dispersion dust, and suppressing dust from construction sites.

In the industrial sector, special inspections will be conducted on more than 2,800 key management sites where civil complaints often occur, and advanced monitoring equipment such as fine dust measurement scanning lidar and drone will also be used in industrial complexes.

In the transportation sector, violators will be cracked down on vehicles from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays during the seasonal management system, and special crackdowns on idling and emissions will be carried out in areas where vehicles are concentrated, such as terminals, garages, and distribution centers.

In addition, in the public sector, domestic waste incineration facilities will be regularly inspected, and in the field of information provision and cooperation reinforcement, private practice groups will monitor and campaign pollution sources around their lives.
