In the joint situation room set up at the Suwon Convention Center, where the forum will be held, police personnel from the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency and Suwon Nambu Police Station will be stationed to control traffic and protect key personnel.
Suwon Fire Station also dispatches personnel to check the safety of structures and disaster prevention facilities in the venue and patrol fire prevention.
The Secretariat of the UNESCO International Forum deploys 30 security and safety management personnel and two medical office residents and operates a private ambulance.
The provincial education office explained that it plans to lead the operation of the safe forum by operating the joint situation room, establishing safety plans, preventing safety accidents, and discussing emergency response measures.
"This forum is a good opportunity to inform the world of the value of Gyeonggi-do Office of Education and Gyeonggi Future Education," said Jeong Seung-hoon, secretary-general of the UNESCO International Forum at the Provincial Office of Education. "We will do our best to prepare for the forum with safety as our top priority."
The forum, co-hosted by the Ministry of Education, UNESCO headquarters, the Korean Committee of UNESCO, and the Provincial Office of Education, will last from the 2nd to the 4th of next month.
The provincial education office expects more than 1,800 people from 90 countries, including ministerial-level officials from UNESCO member countries, international organizations, domestic and foreign education experts, researchers, and teachers, to participate in the forum.
