The Ministry of Environment and the Korea Institute of Environmental Industry and Technology announced today (2nd) that they have designated five specialized high schools in the second environmental field to train working-level personnel in the green industry.

The schools designated this time are Gyeongnam Technical High School, Gwangju Electronic Technical High School, Samil Technical High School, Seoul Technical High School, and Ulsan Technical High School.

The designated school will receive a budget of about 200 million won every year for up to five years from next year and train working-level personnel.

Eleven out of 12 students who obtained a certificate as an evaluation type of water quality and environment industrial engineer course operated by Gwangju Electronics Technical High School were employed by the Ministry of Environment or Samsung Electronics during the first project.
