In August and October, the Public Welfare Judicial Police Department conducted on-site crackdowns and collection inspections on 17 sanitary towel processing companies that clean, sterilize, and disinfect sanitary towels, pack them, or rent them.

Among them, 11 sanitary towels that were judged to have poor working conditions were collected and asked the Seoul Institute of Health and Environment to inspect the number of fluorescent whitening agents, E. coli, and bacteria.
