The Jeju Immigration and Foreign Office said about 30 out of 80 Vietnamese tourists who entered Jeju on the 14th of last month did not get on their return flight three days later.
They can stay in Jeju for 30 days without a visa, so they will be illegal residents from the 14th.
In the aftermath, all six chartered flights scheduled to travel between Jeju and Vietnam from the 25th to the middle of February next year were canceled.
An official from the Jeju Immigration and Foreign Affairs Agency said that they have started to find out where they are due to the possibility of illegal stay, and that they plan to arrest them in earnest by the 14th.
