This will apply to domestic flights departing on the 13th.
Starting in 2021, the paid seating system for international travelers will be expanded to domestic flights.
The seats subject to paid allocation are "extra legroom" (e.g., emergency exit seats) that can stretch legs more comfortably than regular seats, and front preference seats that are convenient for getting on and off.
In the future, extra legroom will be available at an additional fee of 15,000 won and front preferred seats will be available at an additional fee of 10,000 won.
Passengers purchasing these seats can also benefit from priority handling of checked baggage.
Korean Air explained, "We have expanded the pre-seat fee system to domestic flights in order to provide passengers who prefer front seats with purchase opportunities."
