Prosecutors investigating the emergency martial law case have summoned Health and Welfare Minister Cho Kyu-hong.

The investigation is expected to expand to other members of the State Council to investigate the process of the Cabinet meeting, which took place just before martial law was declared.

The members of the State Council, who came to the National Assembly, bowed their heads and apologized, saying they failed to prevent the declaration of emergency martial law.

The prosecution, which is looking at the entire process of declaring martial law, is expanding its investigation to the members of the State Council.

Just before Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of martial law, the Cabinet meeting for deliberation ended in just five minutes.

There were also testimonies that there was a procedural problem with the meeting through the members of the State Council who attended at the time,

[Han Deok-soo / Prime Minister (Question at the National Assembly): (Did the Minister of National Defense officially suggest martial law at the Cabinet meeting?) No. (Didn't you deliberate?) Yes, there was no formal deliberation.]

The prosecution was the first member of the State Council to summon Health and Welfare Minister Cho Kyu-hong to investigate what kind of discussions went on at the meeting.

It is known that the decree also questioned the circumstances of "if medical personnel, such as medical doctors, are not returned, they will be punished" and whether President Yoon was involved.

The prosecution is expected to focus on laying the foundation for President Yoon's investigation by summoning additional former and current ministers.

The prosecution also summoned Yeo In-hyeong, the chief of the counterintelligence command, who is suspected of leading the martial law incident, to question whether the president had ordered in advance, and conducted a search and seizure of the Capital Defense Command.
