At least 13 people were killed when a passenger ship carrying more than 100 passengers sank after hitting an Indian Navy high-speed boat in waters near Mumbai, India, on the 18th local time, Reuters reported.

The Navy has rescued 99 people and is continuing its search operations.

The Indian Navy says the high-speed boat that was inspecting the engine lost control and collided with the passenger ship, including three passengers on board.A passenger on the ferry

said in a local media interview that after colliding with the high-speed boat, the boat began to be filled with water, wearing a life jacket under the captain's guidance and was rescued after floating at sea for 15 minutes.The

rescue operation involved four helicopters and 11 naval ships.
