In a statement to reporters, Kwon Hyuk-ki, head of the party's political affairs planning office, said, "We received a notice of litigation records sent by the court to the National Assembly at around 3:20 p.m. yesterday."
He then explained that the court's records of lawsuits sent to Lee's home twice by registration were not received because there were no people at home due to martial law and impeachment at the time.
He also cited the judicial commission's remarks by Chun Dae-yup, the head of the court administration, that it could not be seen as a delay in the trial, saying that a due service procedure was being carried out.
Director Kwon also refuted the claim that representative Lee made it impossible to serve to delay the trial's intention.
