The National Federation of Farmers' Associations, which drove a tractor to Seoul shouting for the resignation of the president of Yoon Suk Yeol, marched near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, after more than 28 hours of confrontation with the police.

Jeon Nong and emergency action held a rally near Han River Jin Station in Hannam-dong, Seoul at around 6 p.m. today (22nd), denouncing the police for blocking farmers and calling for freedom of assembly.

About 10 tractors, which departed from Nam Tae-ryeong at around 3:50 p.m., marched down the road and joined the Han River Jin Station rally near President Yoon's residence at around 6:30 p.m.

There was no conflict with the police at the rally, with more than 10,000 farmers and citizens estimated by the organizers.

The police, who created a "car wall" from around noon yesterday to prevent farmers, withdrew from Namtaeryeong in about 28 hours at around 4:40 p.m. today, citing concerns about traffic congestion in the city.

Previously, Jeonnong members were blocked by police near Namtaeryeong Pass in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, while trying to enter Seoul at around 12 p.m. yesterday.

When the police blocked the city from entering Gwacheon-daero by controlling eight lanes in both directions, the Jeonnong held an overnight protest rally for two nights.
