The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, which called on Yoon Suk Yeol's president to "attend Christmas Day," was busy even on holidays.
Moon Sang-ho, the intelligence commander who was arrested on charges of pre-mocking the emergency martial law and attempting to take control of the Central Election Commission, was called in for the first investigation two days after his arrest.Commander
Moon is accused of pre-mocking martial law by holding a so-called 'hamburger meeting' with former intelligence commander Roh Sang-won,
[Moon Sang-ho / Commander of the Armed Forces Intelligence Command (last 20th): (Did you plan to kidnap the members of the National Election Commission?) .... (There are rumors that you created a second investigation team, what did you come up with?).]
The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit reportedly asked why they plotted martial law with former commander Roh, who is a civilian.
After that, the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit will analyze the data received from the police in addition to the investigation of military generals such as Commander Moon and focus on strengthening the "alleged rebellion" before the recall of President Yoon.
The prosecution, which has decided to transfer the president's investigation to the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, is speeding up the investigation of the State Council member.
Last week, following an investigation into Deputy Prime Minister for Economy Choi Sang-mok and Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Park Sang-woo, Cho Tae-yong, head of the National Intelligence Service, was recently summoned as a reference.
It is interpreted as an intention to find out what was said at the Cabinet meeting and verify whether legal procedures were followed before and after martial law.
The special prosecution will continue its investigation as the arrest deadline for former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who was arrested first among the main suspects, will soon end.
