Yes, it's the Constitutional Court.

Constitutional Court announcement, when is it scheduled?

[Reporter]
Yes, the Constitutional Court will announce its response to President Yoon's continued refusal of documents at a briefing at 2 p.m. today.

Since the 16th, the Constitutional Court has sent constitutional officials or sent documents related to impeachment to President Yoon through mail or electronic systems, but they have still not received them.

If it was delivered on the 16th, the answer should have been submitted by today, but this was also delayed as the document was not served.

If the delivery of documents continues to be delayed, this Friday's scheduled first preparation date will also inevitably be disrupted,
Regardless of the circumstances of the parties, the
Constitution has been considering countermeasures by opening up methods that it considers to have been legally served.

Attention is focusing on what the Constitutional Court will have concluded.

It is unusual for a party to not receive the documents itself in an impeachment trial like this, right?

[Reporter]
Correct.

The Constitutional Court has even filed seven impeachment cases this year, including Lee Chang-soo, the head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, with Sohn Joon-sung's impeachment, which has yet to be concluded.

The Constitutional Court said it recently remembered nothing about the precedent in which the respondent was not served the documents in the impeachment trial.

Compared to the presidential impeachment case heard by the Constitutional Court earlier, this is the first time that the service has been difficult.

In the case of former President Roh Moo Hyun, he was served the documents the day after the impeachment was passed and four days later, he also submitted a power of attorney and an opinion.

Former President Park Geun Hye was also served with a notice of receipt from the Constitutional Court on the day of approval, and a week later, he issued a power of attorney and a reply.

Delivery of documents such as a notice of receipt means that the trial will begin legally.Doubts are also growing that President Yoon's successive refusal of documents

may prevent him from even starting the impeachment trial on purpose.
