Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has mentioned the possibility of simultaneous House elections in July next year.

Asked about the possibility of simultaneous elections for the House of Representatives and the Upper House on a TV program that appeared yesterday, Prime Minister Ishiba said, "There is no rule that we should not do it."

He also said that the constitutional structure is for the people to decide, citing the case where the budget bill or bill is rejected at the regular National Assembly next year.

Earlier, Prime Minister Ishiba said in a lecture on the 27th that the House of Representatives could be dissolved if the 2025 budget is rejected at the regular session of the National Assembly.
