Jeonju City cancels the New Year's event...Focus on probation and support

Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, canceled a New Year's Eve event scheduled for the 31st to focus on the settlement and mourning of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster at Muan International Airport.

Jeonju Mayor Woo Bum-ki held a disaster safety response meeting and said, "Please pay special attention to the situation and support for the bereaved families. We apologize to citizens who waited for the event, but let's have a mourning period instead of the event to consider the bereaved families who suffer great sadness and share their pain."

Jeonju City will communicate with Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and the headquarters of the accident site to continuously check on people related to Jeonju City, and deploy and support one-on-one officials in charge of identifying deaths.
