Seoul to provide up to 75 million won for plane crash victims

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has decided to provide up to 75 million won per person to Seoul citizens who were killed in the Jeju Air plane accident.The city of

said that six deaths and two injuries caused by the plane accident were identified as Seoul citizens.

First of all, Seoul citizens' safety insurance will be applied to the dead, providing up to 75 million won, including up to 40 million won in compensation and up to 35 million won in disaster support, and up to 10 million won in disaster support will be provided to the injured according to their disability rating.

In addition, the city has decided to assign one-on-one officials dedicated to the bereaved families to support the entire funeral process and conduct psychological counseling for the bereaved families.
