While there are joint memorial centers in 88 cities and provinces across the country to commemorate the victims of the plane crash, citizens continued to visit the memorial center in front of Seoul City Hall from early morning.

The Bosingak bell ceremony scheduled for tonight (31st) was decided to be held solemnly in an atmosphere of mourning and remembrance.

Mourners continue to visit the joint memorial altar for victims of the plane crash in front of Seoul City Hall in the early morning.

Citizens who expressed their condolences by placing chrysanthemum flowers could not hide their sorrow over the major disaster that occurred in the chaotic situation.

[Yoon Seo-in / Jongam-dong, Seoul: I felt too depressed to stay at home, so I hope the cause of the accident is well identified, and I hope that comfort and compensation will be made to the appropriate bereaved families.]

[Jungmo / Mullae-dong, Seoul: I feel very sorry for such an accident during this difficult time. I'm even more heartbroken and sad because my hometown is over there.]

While sunset and sunrise events were canceled across the country, the bell event at Bosingak New Year's Eve in Seoul, which was scheduled to take place at midnight, was also drastically reduced.

We decided to cancel the pre-performance and various performances and welcome the New Year with a solemn bell ceremony with a time of mourning and silence.

The Gwanghwamun countdown event will also cancel the lighting performance, and only media videos will be shown without sound.

The Seoul Plaza Ice Rink is open as usual, but it operates quietly without music during the national mourning period.
