Yoon is accused of making an unfair profit of around 100 million won by providing his wife, Koo Yeon-kyung, CEO of the LG Welfare Foundation, with undisclosed material information regarding the capital increase of KOSDAQ listed companies.CEO Yoon
is said to have denied the allegations, saying he had never provided information to his wife in the prosecution investigation.
The prosecution was found to have recently called in representative Koo Yeon-kyung to investigate.
Earlier in October, the Financial Services Commission notified the prosecution of the allegation of violating the Capital Market Act by the representative couple, and civic groups also filed a complaint.
