On the first day of the new year, it is the national mourning period, so the steps to work are heavier than ever.

There was no big cold today, but cold air is expected to come down again tomorrow, causing a cold wave.

Even in the cold weather, it's hard to find a smile on your face heading to work like a day with a strong wind.

It was minus 2.9 degrees in Seoul this morning, 2.5 degrees higher than usual,

Cheolwon and Daegwallyeong were around minus 10 degrees Celsius, which was about 1-2 degrees higher than the average year.

However, as the cold continental high pressure expands in the northwest, it is expected to become cold again from tomorrow.

In northeastern Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province, where a cold wave warning has been issued, temperatures will fall below minus 10 degrees Celsius tomorrow morning,

Seoul will also be lowered to minus 5 degrees Celsius, about 2 degrees lower than today.

Due to the strong cold wind, the wind chill is expected to drop to minus 8 degrees Celsius.

As the cold air passes through the West Sea, snow clouds are formed, and about 1cm of snow or rain is expected on the West Coast.

The cold will ease from daytime on Saturday, but heavy snow is likely in the central part of the country on Sunday.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) cautioned that there is a high possibility that ice sheets will be created on the road even if it rains because Seoul's temperature is around 0 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning.
