At a briefing on the bereaved families at Muan International Airport today, the Air Rail Accident Investigation Committee said it is conducting a 12-step investigation into the disaster in accordance with national law and international standards, and is currently conducting a four-step field investigation to gather information.
He also added that he had interviews with the controller who communicated with the pilot before the accident, and that he has completed the process of extracting data from the voice recorder inside the aircraft and is working on a transcript.
However, it is difficult to extract the airframe flight recorder in Korea, so we plan to send it to the United States next week for analysis.
The Air Rail Accident Investigation Committee is an independent organization under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport but does not receive ministerial instructions, promising a quick investigation and transparent disclosure.
