Agreed to Form a Special National Assembly Committee to Resolve Airplane Disaster

The ruling and opposition parties have agreed to form a special committee of the National Assembly to deal with the Jeju Air plane accident.

Joo Chul-hyun, chairman of the South Jeolla Provincial Party, said National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik and People's Power Emergency Response Committee Chairman Kwon Young-jin visited Muan International Airport and agreed to form a special National Assembly committee to deal with the plane disaster.

The special committee will push for the enactment of a special law to compensate and support victims and prepare measures to prevent recurrence, and will begin full-fledged discussions after the joint funeral.
