The explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year's Day was not found to have been politically motivated, including complaints about Trump, the FBI said.

FBI Special Agent Officer Spencer Evans told a news conference on the 3rd local time that the incident is believed to be a tragic suicide of a good soldier suffering from PTSD and other conditions.

Investigators found a note left by Matthew Revelsberger, an Army special forces officer found dead in the car, which said he wanted to erase the memories of his lost acquaintances and put down the burden of life.

There was no malice at all against Trump, the police added.

Earlier, the incident took place in front of the Trump hotel, and Tesla, the maker of the Cybertruck used in the crime, speculated that Trump's closest aide Elon Musk was the CEO, which was a political event.

Neither Trump nor Musk were in Las Vegas at the time of the vehicle explosion.
