The Ministry of Health and Welfare said it has provided 3,176 consultations to 901 pregnant women in crisis for half a year since the implementation of the crisis pregnancy protection birth system in July last year.

The crisis pregnancy protection birth system is a system in which the state protects children after counseling pregnant women in difficult situations can raise children, and if inevitable, they can be treated under a pseudonym at medical institutions and give birth.

on their own, 19 pregnant women chose to adopt after birth registration, and 52 pregnant women applied for a protected birth.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare explained that 63 people initially applied for protective childbirth, but 11 people changed their minds by raising themselves.

A total of 163 children were protected by such counseling.
