Starting this year, if a single homeowner purchases an unsold house after completion in the province, he or she will receive a special case of one household one house.

The government held the "11th Real Estate Market and Supply Status Inspection TF" today (8th) jointly presided over by First Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance Kim Beom-seok and First Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Jin Hyun-hwan.

In order to implement tax support to help resolve unsold housing in local areas without a hitch, if a single homeowner purchases an unsold house after the completion of the local area from this year, the special case of one household one house will be applied when calculating the comprehensive real estate tax.

In addition, if unsold apartments are used as rentals for more than two years after local completion, the original acquisition tax for housing construction companies will be reduced by up to 50%.

Starting this year, legislative tasks to stabilize the local real estate market are also being pursued as planned, such as applying special cases of one-family one-home when calculating property, transfer, and comprehensive real estate taxes.

This year, construction-type public housing is planned to be approved for 140,000 households and construction of more than 70,000 households.

It also said that as of the end of last year, 25,000 households were confirmed to purchase unsold public housing sites in the Seoul metropolitan area announced through the August 8 supply measures.
