Osan City's new educational welfare project aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents and allowing all students to enjoy equal educational opportunities.The city of
has set aside 700 million won this year for this purpose, and will conduct a demand survey on middle schools in the jurisdiction from March to determine the number of applicants and the amount of subsidies for each school, and then give subsidies to each school.
Earlier, since last year, Gyeonggi Province has provided up to 500,000 won in hands-on learning expenses to all high school students in the province.
In line with this, Osan City has expanded the scope of support to middle school students.
Osan Mayor Lee Kwon-jae said, "We will guarantee equal educational opportunities and provide support so that all students can fully enjoy experiential learning, the biggest excitement in their school days."
