Gyeonggi Province's special judicial police said they have cracked down on illegal activities in 91 bathrooms, including jjimjilbang and sauna, in the province and detected 11 places.

The main cases detected are three unreported food service businesses, five cases of storage of products past the expiration date, one case of unreported air pollution discharge facilities, one case of false or confusing food ingredients, and one case of unmarked food origin.

Business A was caught selling food and beverages such as coffee and sikhye at the store without reporting to the competent authority, and business B was caught storing 10 kinds of expired mustard sauce, starch syrup, and oyster sauce in the store without any signs for education or disposal.

Some restaurants in jjimjilbang falsely marked Chinese kimchi as domestic on the sign of origin.

From the 9th to the 20th of last month, the intensive crackdown was conducted on 91 bathhouses such as jjimjilbangs and saunas in six cities and counties in the province.
