Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, which received an on-site inspection of the 2036 Jeonju Summer Olympics from the Korean Sports Council, said, "We asked the on-site inspection team to evaluate not only the facilities but also the strategy, authenticity, and passion that Jeonbuk put forward."

Lee Jung-seok, director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau in Jeollabuk-do, said, "The question mark of the on-site inspection team, which suspected whether the small city could host the Olympics, has turned into an exclamation mark this time."

The Korean Olympic Committee will decide on the domestic candidate site for the Summer Olympics at a general meeting of delegates on Feb. 28.
