Opposition parties vote on audit request for 'relocation of presidential residence' in steering committee

The opposition parties, including the Democratic Party of Korea, voted at a plenary session of the National Assembly Steering Committee to demand the Board of Audit and Inspection's audit of the relocation of the presidential residence.

The audit request included transparency in the process of selecting construction companies before the official residence, appropriateness of budgeting and execution, suspicion of illegal construction and expansion of the official residence, and appropriateness of private contracts.

The opposition party also adopted eight additional witnesses, including a public official in charge of deploying personnel to the main gate of the official residence, to the steering committee's pending questions on the 17th regarding the execution of President Yoon's arrest warrant.

People's Power lawmakers did not attend the meeting, saying it was an agenda and agenda that had not been discussed in advance.
