Rep. Lee explained that he communicated, not through internal communication, but some within the Democratic Party refuted that Lee Chul-kyu, a member of the People's Power, was mired in the "controversy over police intimidation."

The People's Power filed a complaint with the prosecution against Lee Sang-sik of the Democratic Party of Korea, a former police officer, for abuse of authority and violation of the anti-graft law.
Rep. Lee said that he served as a messenger between the party and the National Assembly, and pointed out that writing a message on social media that gauges the timing of the re-issuance or re-execution of the arrest warrant is like revealing his inner feelings.
[Na Kyung-won / National People's Power: Please inspect which police official contacted Lee Sang-sik to tell him when to execute the arrest warrant and issue the arrest warrant....]
He claimed that lawmaker Lee admitted that he had actually led the investigation and pointed out that the Democratic Party of Korea is already in power.
[Kwon Young-se / People's Power Emergency Management Committee Chairman: If the police are under the direction of the Democratic Party of Korea's investigation to arrest the president, it would be a serious act of disorderly conduct by the National Constitution.]
In response, Rep. Lee explained to YTN that he "communicated" rather than "internal communication," and that he asked and encouraged the arrest of President Yoon Suk Yeol to be an order of the people.
He said it was a misleading expression within the party, but refuted that it was natural to communicate with the administration as a member of the National Assembly's administrative security committee.
[Jung Sung-ho / Minjoo Party member (SBS Radio 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show'): It's natural to communicate with ruling party members, opposition members, or those in the government to solve problems under the current situation.]
In particular, Lee Chul-kyu, a member of the ruling party, recently filed a complaint with the Ethics Committee, saying, "Think of the future" with Woo Jong-soo, head of the noodle division.
[Yang Boo-nam / Rep. of the Democratic Party of Korea (KBS Radio 'Absolutely Fierce'): Be careful about the future. It's a threatening remark. Rather, this is a serious statement right now, but putting Rep. Lee Sang-sik's remarks here....]
As the re-execution of President Yoon's arrest warrant is on the countdown, and the level of pressure between the ruling and opposition parties toward investigative agencies such as the police is increasing, political battles are intensifying.
